I Name November National Thankfulness Month

Because one day of Thanksgiving just isn't enough...

No, really, it's not.

If you're reading this, then you have something big to be thankful for.

If nothing else, you possess the gift of literacy and an internet connection. As an avid reader who was without internet for a month, those are BIG things.

Now I know that a spirit of thankfulness doesn't technically have anything to do with yoga postures of flexibility. But I think that the spirit of yoga goes hand in hand with the spirit of thankfulness.

So for the month of November, I propose that we think of something that we are thankful for everyday.

I know we are in the 4th day of November already. So the first thing that I am thankful for is procrastination. I know it's supposed to be a vice. But take it from a resident of Sin City, sometimes there is nothing sweeter than sitting back on the couch and deep breathing into a plate of junk food when you really should be doing something productive. Ahhh, life is good. And I am thankful.

  1. Couldn't agree more that there's no better time than RIGHT NOW to be grateful. Right now I'm thankful for music that puts a smile on my face. Thank you for the reminder about thankfulness.

  2. Cindi, thanks for posting this and even finding sweetness in procrastination. :) Speaking of sweetness, I thought Sherry Goldstein from Yoga Sanctuary conveyed a very comforting thought to yogis in a recent email blast: "Our wish for you this Thanksgiving season is that you find a sacred space inside of yourself beyond the hassles and turmoil of daily life. A place that stirs hope, contentment and true satisfaction for your soul."
