Rx for a Healthy 2010: Stillness
















In his book Stillness Speaks, Eckhart Tolle says "when you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself." A recent article in the Dallas Morning News expands on this and suggests that unless you have quiet time in your life, your "mental fitness" will suffer. Makes sense to us. We know first-hand that yoga and meditation are great ways to get out of one's head and into stillness. The article provides other tips like getting plenty of rest and sleep. Whatever works for you, make time for quiet time so your life can slow down and you can enjoy the ride as opposed to racing along, trying to hold on.
