Yoga Pairings: Try it with a Bubble Bath

A couple days ago I went to a fabulously creative event at the Bellagio's art gallery. At the event, the Bellagio's master sommelier paired different varietals of wine to matching paintings in the gallery. It was tasty and educational: a success!

Why not try it with yoga? I thought to myself. But what unlikely thing could you pair with yoga? Yoga Sanctuary has already paired wine, chocolate, dogs and hiking (all to terrific success). What was left for me?

How about a bubble bath? Said the part of my brain that needed motivation to clean my bathtub.

Call me Captain Obvious, but I had never considered taking a bubble bath after yoga. (Perhaps because I first did yoga in a college dorm with communal shower stalls?)

To no great surprise, the pairing was awesome! Doing yoga and then taking a bubble bath is a one-two punch of relaxation and happiness. (Plus it washes off sweaty body odor.)

Not to get all preachy on you, but when (not if!) you take a bubble bath, I command you to treat yourself. Nix the harsh bathroom lights and burn a few candles instead. Use actual bubble bath and not body wash. Oh and maybe add some music, although I admittedly didn't get around to that last part.

Happy bathing! Rub-a-dub-dub!
