Shakti Tribe Foundation: Peace Through Music

When Larisa Stow & Shakti Tribe hit the stage with their rockin' blend of kirtan music, the crowd is transformed - even when their audience consists of prison inmates. In fact ... jails, juvenile detention centers, recovery centers and halfway houses are the focus of the band's non-profit Shakti Tribe Foundation. Using their music as a vehicle, Larisa and her band weave in the concepts of personal value, responsibility and peace by teaching the power of mantra practice, yoga and meditation.
